Official Rider Notice: Mount Carmel Is Not Open to Off-Road Vehicles

🚧 OFFICIAL RIDER NOTICE — MOUNT CARMEL ACCESS 🚧

Last weekend, the Borough of Mount Carmel informed Famous Reading Outdoors that riders had entered town illegally.

Off-road vehicles are NOT permitted on Mount Carmel Borough streets except during specifically authorized special events, such as the past Mount Carmel Ride to Revive event. Access granted for that event does not extend beyond the approved event.

When exploring our Locust Gap Trail System, please remain on FRO-marked trails. Your FRO membership or riding pass does not authorize access to Mount Carmel Borough streets.

If Mount Carmel officially opens to riders full time in the future, the Borough of Mount Carmel will make an official announcement. Until then, please stay on the trails and respect the Borough’s restrictions.

Thank you for riding responsibly and helping us maintain a positive relationship with our neighboring communities.
